    The College seeks a part-time Administrative Secretary I - College Access to support the College Access area, which includes early college and dual enrollment programming. The incumbent registers students, processes applications, verifies information, maintains a database of outcomes, and generally supports the area staff.

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Assistant Director of College Access.


    Provide support to the Assistant Director to plan and assess goal development, as well as develop reports.
    Process administrative forms for the College Access area.
    Schedule meetings and coordinate reservation of facilities, audio visual, and other support for events.
    Operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, printer, copier, fax machine, etc.
    Utilize software applications, including Microsoft Office 365, to create efficient electronic systems and documents.
    Utilize College's Management Information System (MIS) software to run various reports, as well as data analysis including student and program outcome data.
    Manage on-line ordering, maintenance, and distribution of office supplies; as well as procurement of other external resources through the College's selected vendors.
    Maintain electronic calendars for the Assistant Director.
    Facilitate the provision of electronic meeting agendas, minutes and associated team documents.
    Collaborate with program staff and all other college areas on assignments.
    Perform other related duties as assigned, consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.


    Applicants must have at least (A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office work, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.


    I. A diploma as evidence of graduation from the business or commercial course of a recognized high school or vocational/technical high school may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*

    II. A diploma as evidence of graduation from a course other than the commercial or business course of a recognized high school or vocational/technical high school or possession of a Massachusetts high school equivalency certificate may be substituted for a maximum of eight months of the required experience.*

    III. A diploma for completion of a one-year, full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized non-degree granting business or secretarial school above the high school level may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*

    IV. An Associate's or higher degree may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required experience.*

    *Education toward such a degree or diploma will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.

    NOTE: Educational substitutions will only be permitted for a maximum of two years of the required experience.

    Experience working with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Office 365.
    Demonstrated ability to:
    Work with and create reports, spreadsheets and budget documents.
    Multi-task in a busy academic office.
    Work with sensitive and confidential material.
    Work with students, faculty and staff from varied ethnic, cultural and/or economic backgrounds.

    Experience in a community college setting.
    Willingness to engage in continuous improvement and ongoing learning
    Ability to speak a language in addition to English.
