    The Business Analyst and Reporting Coordinator supports the university mission by driving results in the area of survey and/or behavioral data analysis, data analytics, reporting, and institutional effectiveness. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that data collection, analysis, and reporting is conducted accurately, timely, and supports the goals of the university and its stakeholders. The Coordinator will provide needs assessments to departments working on new program start-ups, innovations, initiatives and entrepreneurial activities, as well as provide support and information for existing programs and services. This role also manages data project needs by managing the collection of data through multiple channels, including surveys, focus groups, and data tracking within our systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as well as a positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change.

    Job Description/Performance Objectives:

    ● Designs and implements evaluation methodologies to evaluate campus initiatives and provide guidance for related decision making
    ● Performs activities relating to data mining, data validation, data collection, needs researching (current and future), and best practice researching. Uses visual analytics software to present/display data
    ● Develop, deploy and analyze survey results for various departments across the university
    ● Coordinate, track and oversee internal and external requests for quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting needs
    ● Maintain and validate critical university documentation that supports the university mission, including the CSU-Global Campus factbook and the Leadership Dashboard


    ● Experience in institutional effectiveness, continuous improvement, program review, and/or accreditation efforts for distance learning efforts at the postsecondary level
    ● Survey creation and data collection
    ● Working knowledge of database concepts and queries.
    ● Experience with data visualization solutions - Tableau, Power BI, etc.
    ● Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present data, facilitate working sessions, and provide organizational leadership
    ● Demonstrated experience in the use of presentation, reporting, statistical and database software (MS Office Suite, SAS and/or SPSS)
    ● Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
